Answer engine optimization: getting your business named when your customer asks ChatGPT

An entire AEO agency.
$149 a month.
You just click Approve.

Five specialists scan ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity about your business every morning, build the pages and schema that get you named, and publish them the moment you approve. The whole job is one thing: be one of the two or three names an AI gives back when your buyer asks it which one to go with.

Setup is a five-minute interview about your business, plus one file on your domain so we can submit pages to Bing. After that you approve — and paste, on the platforms that don't allow direct publishing.

  1. 01

    Your three numbers

How often the engines mentioned you, linked to your site, and named you first — measured across 10 buyer questions asked live on ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity (30 queries in all).

  2. 02

For the three questions that expose the most, exactly what each engine wrote — with your name and every competitor's highlighted in the text.

A plain-English read of which competitors the engines named, and how big the gap is.

  4. 04

    Four to eight worked examples

And the customer who arrives from an AI answer is worth more than the one who arrives from a search.

Someone who arrives from an AI answer isn't browsing. They asked which one to go with, an assistant they trust named you, and they came to confirm it. That's a different visitor than a blue link delivers — which is why a name in the answer is worth more than a ranking under it.

Who this is for

If a buyer could ask an assistant to recommend one, you're in this.

Local service businesses

Law, dental, medical, home services, fitness, real estate — anywhere buyers ask an AI for someone nearby.

eCommerce and DTC brands

Buyers now ask which product to get before they ever hit a category page.

B2B SaaS

Your buyers shortlist tools by asking an assistant, not by reading a review site.

Marketers and in-house SEO

You already own the rankings. This is the surface that started answering above them.

Agencies

Run the whole department per client, under your name — that's the $549 plan.

Free audit first — the trial is a separate decision, and it never asks for a card.

02 · Your department

Five specialists. One shift a day. Zero meetings.

This is not a dashboard with a to-do list. It's a working department that reports to you — and asks for exactly one thing: your Approve.

They aren't people. They're five automated roles, each with one job. That's the whole reason this costs $149 a month instead of a retainer.

Analyst

Reporting

AN

Every week I write up what the team shipped, what moved, and what's queued next — in plain English, from real logged work.

The rule they can't break: Every line they write maps 1:1 to a real logged event in your account. They never invent work — the code doesn't let them.

03 · A day on shift

What happens while you're running your business.

06:00

The morning scan

Scout asks the engines the buyer questions for your business — ChatGPT and Gemini through the live consumer interface, the answers real users see. Every reply is logged, named competitors and all.

08:00

The day's one move

The orchestrator reads your scan history and picks the single highest-value action — then builds the whole artifact: the schema, the FAQ page, the landing page, the Reddit pack. Finished work, not a suggestion. If your queue is already full, it holds and says so.

Your moment

One click: Approve

The artifact waits in your queue with the reason attached — which question it targets and why that one. Approve it, or skip it and the department moves to the next play.

Minutes later

Shipped, indexed, watched

Approved landing pages publish to Webflow or Squarespace, reach WordPress through our plugin, or come out as finished HTML to paste. Once live they're submitted to Bing, and each one is watched on every following scan until an engine cites it.

The department never publishes on its own

Day one of the trial ends with work waiting for you, not a dashboard tour.

04 · From Approve to Cited

Every landing page you approve is watched until an engine cites it.

Marketing tools show you charts and let you connect the dots. Your department hands you a dated receipt instead: the page went live on this day, was submitted to Bing on this day, and an engine cited it on this day — on the exact question it was built to win.

And because we store the engines' answers verbatim, a win isn't a number that moved — it's the sentence that changed, with the date it was captured. On Solo Pro you can read those answers side by side, scan over scan.

Our own honesty rule, straight from the product: we show the timeline and let it speak — we never claim a single page was the sole cause of a move.

Your first receipts start with the first page you approve.

Plenty of tools will now tell you what to write. The gap is between the draft and the live page — the CMS push, the index ping, and the scan that watches whether it worked. That gap is what the $149 covers here, self-serve.

The gap isn't a discount. Agencies bill for people — strategists, writers, developers. Here the scans, the drafting, the schema, the publishing, the index submissions, and the reporting run as software, supervised by you with one click.

Tool prices are published list prices, July 2026. Agency range is 2026 market research on boutique AEO retainers.

06 · What $149 actually buys

Six reasons this replaces the retainer.

“I don't know where I stand.”

Daily 50-question scans

Up to 50 buyer questions a day across the three engines you pick — around 4,500 answer-captures a month when the engines answer. Every one is stored, so the count in your report is the real count, not an estimate.

“I don't have time to do the work.”

A department that builds

Each morning the orchestrator picks the single highest-value move and prepares the whole artifact — schema, an FAQ page, a landing page, or a Reddit pack. When your queue is already full or there's nothing worth building, it says so and holds instead of making work.

“I don't have a developer.”

Publishing, as far as your platform allows

Approved landing pages publish straight to Webflow and Squarespace — and on WordPress, our plugin picks them up and publishes them as real pages, usually within the hour, schema included. On Wix — and for schema and FAQ blocks anywhere — you get the finished block and the exact place to paste it, and we verify it went live.

“Nothing happens for months.”

Bing Index Engine

Published pages are submitted to Bing within minutes via IndexNow — the index where most of ChatGPT's cited pages also rank (Seer Interactive, 2026) — once you've put a single key file on your domain. You can check where your domain ranks in Bing for your questions any time, which is the indicator that moves in days rather than weeks.

“I can't tell if it's working.”

Fate-tracking on the pages you approve

Every approved landing page is registered against the question it was built to win, then checked on each following scan for up to 120 days. When an engine cites it, you get the receipt: page shipped on date A, cited on date B.

“I wouldn't know what to do next.”

A 47-tool AEO Coach

Winnable-query rankings from your own scan history, a business interview so everything it writes sounds like you, a weekly plain-English work report, and 150 messages a month.

We're not going to invent a “total value” number here. The honest version: this is the work an agency staffs three people for, prepared daily, and your entire job is one click.

Seven days, no card. The department starts the day you do.

07 · The honest clock

What moves when — no invented dates.

Anyone promising you a ChatGPT citation by Friday is guessing. Here's the sequence we actually run, and what each stage is built to show you.

  1. Under 3 minutes

    Your free audit is in

10 buyer questions across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity — 30 live queries. You see who got named, who got cited, and who got recommended instead of you.

  2. Day 1 of the trial

    Four artifacts are waiting

Your department's first shift ends with up to four things waiting for approval — schema, an FAQ page, a landing-page draft, a Reddit pack — depending on what your scan says you need. Work, not a chart.

  3. The first days

    The leading indicator moves

Approved landing pages are submitted to Bing within minutes of going live, and you can check your Bing standing from there. Independent testing found roughly 87% of ChatGPT's citations match Bing's top results (Seer Interactive, 2026) — a correlation worth working, measured from the outside rather than documented by OpenAI.

  4. The following weeks

    Citations start landing

We never promise a citation by a date — nobody honest can. In practitioner testing across 2026, pages that do get cited reached a first ChatGPT citation at a median of about 6.8 days once indexed — and roughly 42% of pages were cited within 30 days (Semrush / practitioner testing, 2026). Fate-tracking hands you the receipt when it happens, and shows you plainly when it hasn't.

  5. Every 7 days

    Your work report

What the team built, what went live, what moved, what's queued — every number from real logged rows. The rhythm an agency reports in.

09 · FAQ

The questions that decide it.

What exactly do I have to do?
Run the free audit, and if you start the trial, answer a 5-minute interview about your business so everything we write sounds like you. From then on the department prepares each move as a finished artifact and waits. It never publishes on its own — the only things that go live are what you approve, or what you ask the Coach to publish.
How is this different from SEO?
It's the next chapter of it. Google's own 2026 guidance says optimizing for generative AI search is still SEO — the difference is where the answer comes from. AI assistants compose one answer with a few names in it, drawn from sources they trust and cite. AEO Action works those citation signals directly: structured data, answer-shaped pages, brand mentions, and Bing indexing — then measures whether the engines actually start naming you.
Which AI engines do you cover — and how honestly do you check them?
Six: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude. ChatGPT and Gemini are scanned through the live consumer interface — the answers real logged-in users see, every day, not a weekly API poll. Perplexity is search-grounded. Google AI Overviews come from live Google results, Copilot from Bing's answer layer. Claude runs in model mode — it shows how the model understands your brand long-term, and we label it that way. We never pass a model-mode answer off as a live capture.
What's in the free audit?
We ask 10 buyer questions across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity — 30 live queries in all. The report gives you your Mentioned / Cited / First-pick numbers from all of them, the word-for-word answers to the three questions that expose the most (your name and every competitor's highlighted), a written read of which competitors got named instead and how big the gap is, four to eight worked examples from your own scan with the specific fix for each, three moves to make now, and a 30-day plan. It's a shareable link plus a PDF, and it's yours to keep — no account, no email, no card.
When will I see results?
Here's the honest ladder. Under three minutes: you see exactly where you stand. Day 1 of the trial: up to four finished artifacts are waiting for approval, depending on what your scan says you need. First days: approved landing pages are submitted to Bing within minutes of going live, and you can check your Bing standing — that's the leading indicator, because independent testing found most of ChatGPT's citations match Bing's top results (Seer Interactive, 2026). The citations themselves typically take weeks, and anyone who promises you a date is guessing. When one lands, fate-tracking shows you the receipt.
Can AI really start recommending a business like mine?
The window reopens constantly: 40–60% of the sources AI cites change month to month (eMarketer, 2026). The engines re-decide who to trust all the time. That's why the department attacks winnable questions first — the long-tail ones that fit your business, and, once you have scan history, the ones it shows are genuinely contested — instead of the ones a national brand has locked up.
Does anything get published without me?
No. Every artifact the department prepares sits in your Approve Queue until you click Approve or Skip. Approve, and it publishes wherever your platform allows and gets submitted to Bing once it's live; Skip, and the department moves to the next-best play. Nothing reaches your site that you didn't choose.
What if my site isn't on WordPress, Webflow, Wix, or Squarespace?
You still get everything. Direct publishing works with Webflow and with Squarespace on a Business plan. On WordPress, our plugin publishes approved pages to your site automatically — usually within the hour, schema included. Everywhere else — Wix, a custom build, a site your web vendor runs — approved pages come out as finished HTML with the structured data already in place, ready to paste in or hand over. The scans, the drafts, and the reporting don't depend on your platform at all.
What happens after the 7-day trial?
You decide. We don't take a card up front, so nothing can charge automatically. Anything the department already published to your site stays on your site — it's your page. Your reports and the queue go read-only until you continue.
Why does an agency cost $2,000–6,000 a month and this costs $149?
Agencies bill for people — strategists, writers, developers — running processes that this product runs as software. The scans, the drafting, the schema, the publishing, the index pings, the reporting: automated end to end, supervised by you with one click. If you want humans in meetings, hire an agency. If you want the work, this is the work.
I run an agency. Can I put my clients on this?
That's the Agency plan: up to 10 client projects (3 during the trial) with the full department running per client, all six engines, white-label client portals under your name and logo, a cross-client portfolio dashboard, a read-only API with signed webhooks, and an embeddable audit widget that turns your own site into a lead source.
Is my data private?
Your scans and reports belong to your account. We don't sell data and we don't share it with third parties beyond the processors that run the product. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy. Read the full Privacy Policy.
