AEO for Wix: the honest version.

No tool can publish a page into a Wix site — ours included. Here is what a Wix owner actually gets: prepared pages, exact paste instructions, live verification, dated receipts. Everything except one click.

Updated 2026-08-11

Start with the sentence every other vendor buries: no AEO tool can publish a page into your Wix site — including this one.Every tool's Wix story ends with somebody on your side pasting, whether the marketing says so or not. So here is ours, said plainly. AEO Action runs the entire loop — daily scans of live AI engines, a department that prepares finished pages and schema, your approval, verification that the paste went live, a dated receipt if the page gets cited — and leaves you exactly one click. The paste takes minutes. The preparing is the work, and the $149/month covers the preparing.

The sentence you will not find on other Wix pages

Wix keeps outside write access at arm's length. Its developer platform, Velo, requires a developer-tier site and real setup, and there is no simple public path an outside tool can use to create a page in your site the way a WordPress plugin can. That wall is the same for every vendor in this category — the difference is who admits it. Check the publishing integrations the vendors themselves document:

  • Profound's Agents stage drafts to Webflow, WordPress, Sanity, and Contentful; no Wix integration appears in its public materials.
  • AthenaHQ's content agents publish to Webflow and Framer only — 2026 reviews found no WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix path.
  • Gauge publishes to Webflow only. Writesonic's writer-led push goes to WordPress. Slate pushes to Webflow, with Sanity and Contentful on its top tier.
  • Peec, Otterly, Trakkr, and Rankscaleare monitoring tools by their own reviewers' consensus — no CMS publishing documented anywhere, Wix included.
  • And AEO Action publishes directly to Webflow and Squarespace, and on WordPress its plugin publishes approved pages on an hourly sync. On Wix, it does not publish. Nobody does.

Wix appears in exactly none of those lists — ours included. Which means every vendor's real Wix answer is identical: someone on your side pastes. The difference between tools is not whether the paste exists. It is everything around the paste — what arrives to be pasted, how exact the instructions are, whether anyone confirms it went live, and what gets measured after. That is what the rest of this page walks through, and if you first want to know whether you even have a visibility problem, start with why businesses don't show up in ChatGPT.

What $149 contains on Wix: everything except the last click

The reason to bother at all: buying research keeps moving from links into answers, and Google now answers ahead of its own results.

48%

of Google searches now return an AI Overview above the organic results

Answer engine optimization is the work of getting named in those answers, and on Wix that work runs as a loop with one manual step. In order:

  1. The scan. Every day, 50of your buyer questions — regenerated from your business profile each run, not a fixed list — are asked across the three engines you pick on Solo, from a pool of five: ChatGPT and Gemini through their live consumer interfaces, Perplexity via its API, Google AI Overviews from live results, Copilot from Bing's answer layer. Claude joins at Solo Pro in a labeled model mode, never counted as live. Who gets named and who gets cited is recorded and kept comparable over time.
  2. The preparation. A daily orchestrator picks the highest-value move from the scan and prepares the complete artifact — a schema block, a FAQ page, a landing page aimed at a question your buyers actually ask, or a Reddit pack — into an approve queue. On day one of a trial, up to four artifacts are waiting, depending on what the scan finds.
  3. The approval. Nothing ships, or is even handed to you as a paste kit, until you approve it. You read the finished artifact and decide.
  4. The paste kit — this is where the push would be. Instead of a publish API call, you get the finished HTML with title, slug, and meta description bundled, the JSON-LD script block, and instructions matched to Wix's actual screens: not “add this to your header” but which menu, which field, which save button, in Wix's own labels.
  5. The verification. After you paste and publish, you click Verify — and the platform crawls your live URL, checking that the exact blocks prepared for you are actually being served, re-checking on a schedule until the answer is confirmed. No claim of “live” is ever made from an assumption.
  6. The submission.Once the page is live and your domain's IndexNow key file is in place, the URL is submitted through IndexNow within minutes. Submission is our half; Bing decides what to index — the mechanics are in Bing and Copilot optimization.
  7. The receipt. Fate-tracking checks the page against its target question on every following scan for up to 120 days — shipped this date, first cited that date — while the AEO Pixel and a GA4 integration read AI-assistant visitors reaching your site, and a plain-English work report lands in the product every 7 days.

Two measured numbers explain why the loop is daily and why the Bing submission is automated at all:

40–60%

of the sources AI cites change every month

Source: eMarketer, 2026

A range, and we keep it one. The practical reading for a Wix owner: the answers move constantly, so this is a loop, not a project — and the door that closed last month reopens.

~87%

of ChatGPT's cited pages also rank in Bing's top results

Source: Seer Interactive, 2026

A measured overlap from the outside, not a pipeline OpenAI documents — OpenAI names OAI-SearchBot as the crawler behind ChatGPT Search and does not publish which index or indexes sit behind it. The overlap is large enough to make the submission worth automating; it promises nothing about what any engine will answer.

The last click, timed

Since the paste is the whole objection, here is the paste. For schema, once: open the Wix dashboard, Settings, Custom Code, Add Custom Code; paste the block; set Apply to All Pages and Place Code in Head; save; then click Publish — Wix only applies Custom Code after a site publish, a step the instructions call out because it is the one everybody forgets. For a page or post: Blog Manager, new post, switch the body to its HTML view, paste the export, set the slug and meta description from the kit, publish.

That is minutes of clicking, and it is honest to say so only because everything inside the paste arrived finished. One caveat belongs here rather than in fine print: free Wix plans do not allow Custom Code, so the schema path on a free plan falls back to a condensed snippet in the page's SEO description — a genuinely limited substitute, labeled that way in the product. Blog pasting works the same on every plan.

Who holds which step: the ledger

A Wix owner's real alternatives are a monitoring tool plus their own evenings, or a human retainer. Same questions across all three columns — the arithmetic is yours to do, and the wider price ladder is in how much AEO costs in 2026.

What arrives, and how often

A monitoring tool

A dashboard reading — who was named, who was cited — on the tool's cadence, from daily runs to credit-metered checks depending on the vendor. What to build in response is, at most, a list of recommendations.

A human retainer

An audit and a work plan on the agency's reporting cycle — monthly or quarterly is typical — plus deliverables on the retainer's schedule.

AEO Action Solo

A daily scan of 50 buyer questions, regenerated from your business profile each run, plus one finished artifact a day prepared into an approve queue: schema, a FAQ page, a landing page, or a Reddit pack.

Who does the Wix paste

A monitoring tool

You — and on most monitoring tiers, so is the writing. Some tools draft content too; publishing into a Wix site is documented for none of them.

A human retainer

The agency's people, commonly working inside your Wix editor with their own login — a real advantage of paying for hands.

AEO Action Solo

You — but only the paste. The HTML, the JSON-LD, the slug, the meta description, and the exact Wix menus to click arrive prepared. Minutes, not evenings.

How you learn it went live

A monitoring tool

You open the page and look.

A human retainer

Reporting varies widely by agency — ask to see a sample report before signing anything.

AEO Action Solo

You click Verify: the platform crawls the live URL and checks the exact blocks prepared for you are being served — and the Coach is barred from calling anything live without that check.

How you learn it worked

A monitoring tool

If the dashboard's mentions move, something worked; connecting the movement to a page you shipped is left to you.

A human retainer

The report says what was done. Tying deliverables to AI answers is rare enough that it is worth asking any agency exactly how they do it.

AEO Action Solo

Fate-tracking watches the page against its target question for up to 120 days toward a dated shipped-to-cited receipt; the AEO Pixel and GA4 integration read AI-assistant visitors on your site; a work report arrives every 7 days.

The bill

A monitoring tool

$29–399/month published list prices (verified August 2026) — plus your evenings for everything after the dashboard.

A human retainer

$2,000–6,000/month (2026 market research) — the traditional price of handing off the whole loop, hands included.

AEO Action Solo

$149/month flat, after a 7-day trial with no card — and a free audit before even that.

Monitoring-tool and retainer cells describe tendencies documented in published materials and 2026 reviews, verified August 2026 — never absolutes about any one vendor. AEO Action cells state what shipped code does today; this page's source names the file behind each claim.

When AEO Action is not the answer on Wix

A page built on a concession should finish the job. Five cases where the honest advice is not us:

  • You are on a free Wix plan and staying there. Without Custom Code, the schema path is a limited SEO-description fallback. Blog pasting still works, but you would be buying a loop with its structured-data step hobbled — upgrade Wix first or wait.
  • Nobody will paste, ever. If the last click will not happen — no one on staff, no patience for it — no software fixes that. Buy hands: a human retainer at $2,000–6,000/month (2026 market research) whose people work inside your editor is the honest alternative, at roughly thirteen to forty times the price.
  • You want a no-click publish more than you want Wix. The fully automatic loop exists — on other platforms. On WordPress the plugin publishes approved pages on an hourly sync, on Squarespace publishing is direct, and Webflow is a genuinely contested platform where rival tools publish too. If your platform is negotiable, that changes the calculation; if Wix is staying, remember that no competitor solves the paste either.
  • You need enterprise trappings today. No SOC 2, no SSO, no panel-scale query analytics — an enterprise procurement checklist disqualifies us, and card checkout and emailed reports are not live yet either: trials take no card because billing is not switched on, and reports live in the product as PDFs rather than landing in inboxes.
  • You would honestly rather do it yourself. The mechanics are learnable and the full method is free to read in the AEO playbook. The product's case was never secrecy — it is cadence, the same reason the scan runs daily.

What you keep, whichever way you decide

Price the exit before the entrance. Everything this loop puts on a Wix site is standard content in your own site: pasted pages are ordinary Wix pages and posts, and the JSON-LD sits in your own Custom Code panel. None of it needs us to keep existing — cancel (cancel anytime is real, like the no-card trial) and the pages stay yours. What leaving costs is the loop itself: the daily scan, the prepared artifacts, the verification, the receipts — and, as with any vendor change in this category, your scan history and baseline start over somewhere else.

Yes

The verdict, unhedged: if your business runs on a premium Wix plan and someone will spend a few minutes pasting what arrives prepared, buy the $149/month department and keep the last click; if nobody will ever paste, buy human hands at $2,000–6,000/month instead; and if neither, spend nothing — a dashboard that watches you stay invisible is the one purchase this page cannot recommend.

The free audit runs 30 live queries in about two to three minutes and touches nothing on your site. No account, no email, no card.

07 · FAQ

Wix owners ask, answered without spin.

Can any AEO tool publish pages directly into a Wix site?
Not that any published materials document — and that includes AEO Action. Vendors that publish content push to Webflow, WordPress, Sanity, Contentful, or Framer; Wix appears in none of the integration lists we track (verified August 2026), because Wix keeps outside write access behind its developer platform rather than a simple public path. On Wix, AEO Action prepares the finished page and schema, hands you paste instructions matched to Wix's own screens, verifies the result went live on your URL, and tracks what happens after. The last click is yours; everything around it arrives done.
What exactly do I paste on Wix, and where?
Two kinds of blocks, both arriving finished. Structured data is one JSON-LD script pasted once: Wix dashboard, Settings, Custom Code, Add Custom Code, apply to all pages, place in Head, save — then click Publish, because Wix only applies Custom Code after a site publish. Pages and posts are exported as complete HTML: open the Blog Manager, switch the body to its HTML view, paste, set the slug and meta description bundled with the export, and publish. The instructions name each menu the way Wix labels it, so the whole exercise is a few minutes of clicking rather than an evening of figuring out.
Does any of this work on a free Wix plan?
Partly, and we would rather tell you now than after you pay. Free Wix plans do not allow Custom Code, so the JSON-LD paste path needs a premium plan; on free plans the product falls back to a condensed snippet in your page's SEO description — honestly limited, and labeled that way in the product itself. Blog-post pasting works the same on any plan. If you are staying on free Wix, weigh that limitation before paying anyone for schema work — us included.
How does AEO Action know my paste actually went live?
It checks rather than trusts. After you paste and publish, a verification job crawls your live URL and looks for the exact schema types and content that were prepared for you, re-checking on a schedule until the result is confirmed either way. The same rule binds the product's Coach: its standing instructions forbid claiming anything is installed or published without that verification passing, and on Wix paste paths they order it to say plainly that the paste is yours to do. What you end up with is a record of what is actually on your site — not an assumption about it.
Will pasting schema get my business cited by ChatGPT?
Schema alone, no — and Google says so directly: no special markup is required to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode. Structured data does one real job: it states your prices, hours, services, and Q&A in a format a machine can parse without interpreting, and it still feeds classic rich results. Citations come from the whole loop — pages that answer real buyer questions, indexing, mentions — and they are never promised: practitioner testing compiled by Semrush in 2026 observed a median of roughly 6.8 days to a first ChatGPT citation once a page is indexed, and about 42% of pages cited within 30 days. Those are observations to measure against, which is why every page prepared for you is tracked toward a dated receipt instead of a prediction.

Before any paste: hear what AI says when your buyers ask.

The free audit asks ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity 10 of your buyers' questions and quotes the three most revealing answers word for word. It runs in about two to three minutes, touches nothing on your Wix site, and needs no account, no email, no card.
